ϟ Habits - Because of her short fur, you can usually find her snuggled up between bigger clan members. She enjoys a good cuddle with both cats she knows and does not.

TRAITS / PERSONALITY

Kidder - "What? Do you wanna touch me or something? I won't bite. Maybe."
Even in a tough situation, Humming will always keep her humor. She will usually tease others if she feels that it should be necessary. Besides that, you will usually find that she seems to never take anything seriously and will always find a way to nudge at other cats' behaviors.

Cocky - "Think you've got what it takes to take me on?"
Maybe she got it from her parents, but Humming always feels that her strength is superior. This, of course, can be a double-edged sword since it also puts her in danger.

Cunning - "Sure you can't get that for me? It's not like I'm 6 inches tall or anything.."
Even though she may not look like it at times, Humming has the urge to constantly try to manipulate cats around her to get what she requires. She tends to secretly enjoy this trait, since she finds it amusing when there is nothing better to do. In desperate situations, she also tries to use her tongue to give herself and other members more time to access the situation before attacking.

Energetic - "Can we do that, like, 10 more times?"
Humming is the type of cat that never stops to relax and always keeps going.. If you need something from her, it won't take a lot of convincing.

Cuddler - "*Grabby arms* C'mere."
Humming enjoys physical affection from her friends and family. If you find yourself in a tough situation, Humming will probably be the first cat to come and sit next to you. Then lay down and wrap her tail around you. Then fall asleep. Then tell you not to move until she's done cuddling.

Maternal - "Eh, if you need to talk about it I'm always here I guess."
Ever since she was just a kitten, Humming has always had the instinct to take care of those younger than her. Because of this, she tends to converse and comfort apprentices and kits more than her fellow warriors.

No Filter - "Don't deny it Crowstar, once you have your first batch of kits you'll be doing it like rabbits!"
Humming... Doesn't completely understand boundaries. Neither does she understand personal verbal space. If she's thinking it, she's gunna say it, filterless.

Trainer - "Come on, come on, HUSTLE! Go faster!"
Hummingbird gets a thrill from training apprentices. Even if you're not her own apprentice, if you've got free time Humming will most likely make you use it by training with her.

HISTORY




Kitten

    Biologically bound by Shiverheart and raised by her 2 mothers, Hummingkit was raised in a strange but big and loving family. While she did enjoy going out of the nursery from time to time, she would usually stay inside of the den with her parental figures guarding her. During these times, Shiverheart was both her best friend and father as he would play with her constantly and would be named lovingly by Humming as, "Shibber Daddy."
    While she believed all was well in good, however, she was far from right. Shiverheart, with his constant connection and fascination with the Dark Forest also piqued Humming's interests as well. Yet, whenever she would ask him about what they were, Shiver would become defensive and explain that they were bad cats who died and went to a bad place to never be seen again. Humming, not phased by her father's simplistic explanation of the area, only expressed that she still wants to go there to see what it looks like and that she thinks she could make it even cooler.
    As Shiverheart slowly progressed towards the darkness, Hummingkit became intwined with a fierce battle between the deputy and her father about a dying queen. As she watched Sandferret lunge at Shiver, Humming gave out a blood-curtling scream and latched onto the deputy. She begged and pleaded with her father to stop, which her father replied sternly that Humming needs to go to the nursery. After neither opponent wanted to kill one another in front of the kit, Shiverheart left the clans while Humming stayed behind with her mothers.
    While her mother's and clanmate's encourage her to learn, grow, and progress inside the clans, Humming still has a small yearning to find her father and live beside him, wherever he went to. Recently discovering through Featherfrost of what crimes her father has made, Humming is now more eager than ever to discover the truth and where she truly belongs.

Apprentice

     Once she was made an apprentice and trained under Featherfrost, Hummingpaw gained much more freedom to explore. Surprisingly, she still hasn't had any contact with her father. She learned of his old mate, Nidra, and wonders if she is related to anyone else in the clans if Shiver has fathered any of her kits. Hummingpaw also confronted Featherfrost of her recent litter since during the time she did not believe Sootfur was the father of the kits, which only led to her mentor scolding her and telling Humming to not question such things. During the last portion of her apprenticeship, the great flood rose and she along with her clanmates migrated to safer lands. While the quickly running rivers did cause her some damage, Pigeonwatcher quickly patched her up and once all of the clans made it to their new territories Hummingpaw was given the name Hummingbird.

Warrior

    Now a warrior, Hummingbird has all the responsibility and freedom she has hoped for. Her first few months were like a dream to her. She had trained multiple apprentices and gained new friends. But, after one fateful hunt in the Trucelands, Hummingbird's small and comforting world has now turned upside down. It was during this hunt that she encountered her father once more. They were both more than happy to see each other, but her father's tinge of darkness was now being kindled and was growing. He had told her that he had gained the title of leader and must now be addressed as Shiverstar. Also during this time her one of her best friends, Jaggedpaw, went missing out of nowhere. During the major migration after the wolf attacks, however, Jaggedpaw was luckily found in a nearby cave. Shiverstar and Nidra were now missing and presumed dead, and Vulturestar is now leading the Shades.

In her last meeting with her father, Hummingbird said that she would live with her father once his new litter of kittens were born. Now that Shiverstar and Nidra are missing, however, Hummingbird doesn't know what to do anymore. Should she stay? Should she leave?

I really wonder what kind of cat this kit is going to grow up to be.

Wren knows of her, and of her situation, and she feels it best that Covekit gets to get to know her father. At the same time, she's afraid that Covekit may follow the same path as Shiver, but that preventing Covekit from seeing her father have an even more detrimental effect.

I'm pretty sure Wren will, eventually, cook up some scheme to get the two cats a meeting together. Probably when Covekit becomes an apprentice. The LichenClan cats would probably flip if they found out, though. >.>

I personally have no idea what Cove will be like or what she's going to do when she's older xD
All I really know is that no matter what, she's not going to hate her father. She just might try to repress some bad memories and pretend everything's ok.

Also, Cove has met up with Shiver a couple of times, so she knows that he's alive and junk, but she still can't comprehend why he isn't in the clan anymore (but of course, it's very minimal since Shiver doesn't want to get caught)

Also, I would love that scheme! Go crazy, I wanna see how far this can go! xD

I dunno, you shouldn't make her hate him. Maybe she understands that it's a special circumstance? Whenever I don't want to keep leading ShadowClan I think it would be cool of Cove could take over it. Shiver will always love Cove and would want Cove to take over ShadowClan and do what he couldn't; make it so everyone doesn't hate it.
"Shiverstar coughs a mixture of phlegm and blood, looking up at his grown daughter.
'Covekit,' he says, delirious in his death. 'you are Covestar now. Do what I never could... Make ShadowClan /good enough./'
