Hey there, Crowstar here! We had a deputy, but they ended up going inactive and now we need to re-elect one. Please follow our rules and ROLE PLAY OUT the scenarios. As in RP your character, not answer it in first person.

IF YOU ARE A DEPUTY-

- You must be ACTIVE. Please remember that if Crowstar ever dies in the roleplay, you will be given the rank of leader. He will not die any time soon, and you will of course be given help administrating the clan, you still must be an active participant in the role play.
- Please do not apply just for the sake of being an important rank or moderator. You can still be a moderator without even being a warrior.
- Must be respectable and well spoken, willing to recruit and hop on at any time that the leader is.
- If someone has already posted an awesome audition and you don't want to try out because of them, try out anyways. Chances are that person might not meet activity requirements, and we'd love to see all of our options before choosing!
- If you do not get picked, don't worry! You can still apply to be a moderator and get the title of a Respected Warrior.

Now that we've covered that, let's begin.

1. An apprentice returns from their assessment with a wounded paw, tears streaming down their cheeks. "BoulderClan ambushed me!" The apprentice cries, their paw mangled and cheek scratched at. Crowstar isn't around, he's leading the patrol while you keep a watch over camp. What do you do to handle this problem? Do you wait for Crowstars return? Care for the apprentice? Or immediately take action?

2. A great raid is happening, HollowClan is invading LichenClan because they believe they've been prey stealing. Fur is bristling, backs are arched and claws are unsheathed. HollowClan could leap at any moment, and they refuse to leave. What do you do? Do you suggest chasing them out? Or do you try to calm down the two clans?

3. Crowstar has passed away a moon or so ago, the clan is iffy on you leading. The territory poors with rain, 3 kits are missing and two foxes are seen wondering the territory. Your clan looks up to you, wondering how to handle the situation. Do you send a small party out to find the kits with the risk of hurting more members? Do you go yourself, or stay in camp to ensure safety?

Depends, I will need support and comfort as I can get a bit stressed out, would you leave the roleplay?




1. An apprentice returns from their assessment with a wounded paw, tears streaming down their cheeks. "BoulderClan ambushed me!" The apprentice cries, their paw mangled and cheek scratched at. Crowstar isn't around, he's leading the patrol while you keep a watch over camp. What do you do to handle this problem? Do you wait for Crowstars return? Care for the apprentice? Or immediately take action?


Puddledrop faces the apprentice. "Go to the medicine den, I'm sure [insertnamehere] can sort your paw out, meanwhile I will take care of things. Thank you for being so brave." She mewed sternly, leaping up onto the highrock, it seemed many cats were lingering towards it anyway, must be drawn to all the rumors, perhaps. Well, that's  what Puddledrop thought. She raised her tail for them to be quiet, a few swapped nervous glances but remained calm. "My clanmates, please be calm. This isn't a troubling matter. Tundrasprint, please come forward." Puddledrop summoned the small female in a deep and powerful voice, she had mastered an authoritative tone and remained unbeaten, that was, excluding Crowstar. Tundrasprint pushed her way through the crowd, and sat before Puddledrop, lashing her tail angrily. It was clear she was furious for the delayed response, but Lichenclan wouldn't retaliate just yet. 
"That blasted Boulderclan scum!" She snarled, grinding her claws against the ground. Puddledrop sat patiently, awaiting an explanation. That was her method, to let things simmer until one realized what one should do. "Tell me what happened." Puddledrop instructed as Tundrasprint's vent seemed to go on forever.
"A Boulderclan patrol caught up to us and found my apprentice hunting a squirrel, for some reason they took it upon themselves to attack him!" She growled, glaring around as if challenging anyone else to contradict her. Puddledrop exhaled calmly. "Relax, Tundrasprint. All is well, we shall take a patrol and see if their patrol is still there. I want you to come with me to identify these cats. But we aren't going over to fight with them, alright?" She raised a brow, but Tundrasprint sprung up, hissing and spitting in fury. 
"They attacked my apprentice! We need to show them Lichenclan mustn't be messed with!" Around her, her clanmates cheered, despite Puddledrops yowl for silence.  After a few seconds, the wails of approval died down, and Puddledrop stood tall once more, staring down coldly at her clanmates. "Shame on you, Tundrasprint. You should know that our warriors shouldn't be driven to avenge others. Our lives revolve around honor, there is no need to stir trouble. However, when Crowstar returns, things may be different, I can promise you however, this act won't go unnoticed." Tundrasprint knew better then to protest a second time, so when Puddledrop leapt down from the highrock she brushed her side. "Thank you." She mumbled shyly, before sprinting away. Puddledrop didn't acknowledge this, infear she would embarrass her clanmate, although she was pleased. "Rubblebrook, Mosstooth, Ripplepaw, follow Tundrasprint!" She yowled, as she too charged after her clanmate.

Hissing and spitting made the territory of Lichenclan an eerie place. Tundrasprint's ears perked, but she seemed rather lost. Puddledrop signalled with her tail for Rubblebrook and the others to stay where they are, whilst she skipped over to Tundrasprint. "Are we lost?" She mewed into her ear, ensuring no cat could hear other then Tundrasprint by directing her voice towards the space in front of Tundrasprint. The she-cat, however, paused, fur bristling. A voice sounded behind her, fear tinting the shaky tone.
"Duck!"
A growl sounded, and a large tom rammed into her side, Puddledrop weaved to the side, kicked out her legs, and tripped the tom, she then pushed her paws onto his shoulders, and sank her claws into them. "Why are you here?" She growled. She looked around, noticing that other Boulderclan warriors were lurking in the bush, unsure what to do. This told Puddledrop she was pinning the 'ringleader', upon realization, she slammed her paw onto his muzzle so he couldn't bark any orders. "Lichenclan, form a circle around me!" She snapped, and her warriors did so, although Ripplepaw looked rather nervous, she was sandwiched in between two strong warriors. Boulderclan cats snarled, but Puddledrop raised her voice, which was cut-off by a familiar yowl. Out of the bushes appeared a black tom-cat called Crowstar, followed by a few warriors.
"What's going on here?" He snapped, glaring at the Boulderclan tom at Puddledrop's feet, the Lichenclan warriors surrounding her batted at some twigs awkwardly. Boulderclan saw that they were outnumbered, and with a snarl, the largest of the intruding cats stepped forwards.
"We will meet again, and maybe you wont be so lucky next time!" They turned tail and ran, leaving the tom which was pinned by Puddledrop alone. But he had other ideas, he kicked out his legs legs and raked her belly, she yowled in pain, but Lichenclan warriors took immediate action and sprung on him, soon pinning him once more. She turned, blinking as Crowstar purred at her.
"Well done, this will be our hostage for now, you have done well, Puddledrop."

Puddledrop, flanked by larger Lichenclan warriors, stared ahead at the Hollowclan warriors. Crowstar was on a journey to the moon(pool?stone?) and couldn't come to help, nor was aware of the supposed rivalry. Puddledrop disliked feeling weak, especially when other clan's thought of her as a coward, hiding among her clanmates. She stepped forwards, despite the protective urging of her clanmates telling her to get back.
"Why are you here?" She spoke coldly, as a Hollowclan female stepped forwards and glared at her, grey curls of fur under her green eyes betrayed her age, but Puddledrop was a fair cat, and decided to ignore the rival's obvious disadvantage. 
"YOU KNOW WHY! Your warriors have been stealing Hollowclan prey! Horrid scums! We are here to show you lot that Hollowclan should NEVER be messed with!" The female aimed a swipe to Puddledrop's ear, but she ducked, pursing her lips, trying not to muse at the poorly aimed attack. Her clanmates, however, pushed forwards in a defensive row. She waved her tail at them dismissively, but they stood rigid with anger. Puddledrop looked the female up and down, before smiling calmly, and sitting down, looking almost comfortable. She licked her paw and swiped it over her ear, before turning and fixing the female with a calm stare. "Where is your evidence?" She questioned, and detected an awkward murmur in the crowd of Hollowclan cat's behind the female. However, the senior warrior gritted her teeth, fur fluffed up to twice, her size.
"Isn't it obvious?!" She screeched. "Lichenclan is just skin and bones! It is obviously your mousebrained warriors who would steal our prey!" Hollowclan cheered, but Puddledrop remained calm, curling her tail around her paws and blinking slowly, before finally responding.
"It is true we are struggling from lack of prey--" Puddledrop was cut off as a tom from Lichenclan shoved his way and faced the rival female, breathing heavily, his eyes bulging with frustration. "Lichenclan is loyal! We would never ever steal prey! Not like you fools! We've seen you---" Puddledrop growled, bristling, she stood and thrust him aside. "Rabbitwhisker, hush, we aren't here to fight." Nodding apologetically for her warrior's misbehavior towards the other female, she sat once again, glaring at the Lichenclan warriors, telling them to hush.
"It is true we are struggling from lack of prey." She continued. "But as Rabbitwhisker rightfully stated we are loyal and warrior code bound, we would never do such a thing. Are you sure you want to throw false accusations around at such a state? I have noticed Hollowclan isn't doing too well either." It went without saying, Silentstar was ill, any cat would be able to detect that. Upon realizing and noting on Puddledrop's wise words, the female finally backed down.
"Fine, but keep an eye on your warriors, next time Hollowclan won't be persuaded by your pathetic logic, Puddledrop!" She turned, yowling at the Hollowclan cats and bounding away. A few of the rival clan cats strayed, looking bewildered, before Lichenclan thrust forward and forced them to move. Puddledrop, once accepting the fact that she had stopped a possible war, instructed her clanmates to return to camp.
//Well done, Puddledrop, well done.// She thought to herself, biting her lip as she trailed behind the surging group of cats charging back to camp.

Puddlestar sat atop the highrock. "Cats of Lichenclan, I ask you to trust me!" She urged, looking around nervously. "Lichenclan is in danger, you must listen and work with me! We must find Poppyheart's kits! We must!" Lichenclan cats looked around sulkily, they obviously didn't want to exit camp, blundering through mud and rain, on the hunt for three mewling kits with the possible threat of being attacked by foxes. "What if we're attacked?" An apprentice squeaked nervously.
Puddlestar thought for a second. "First, I will lead a patrol, cats who have first scented the foxes must come with me. We must locate their dens, before making any plans. I want everyone else to stay in camp and guard our kits, queens and elders. This may mean leaving camp, and..." She paused, scuffing some dust on the rock nervously. "Entering enemy territory." Immediate yowls of protest sounded, and Puddlestar sighed, before standing up and raising her tail for silence. "Hush! We must do what is best for Lichenclan's future! If that means relying on other's for help, so be it! There is no harm in needing help! Especially in these times!" She listened for any more yowls, but her short speech seemed acceptable to the previous protesters. However, Littletrout, the medicine cat limped forwards. "What if we get wounded? I don't think I will have enough herbs for all of us!" He wailed desperatley. But Puddlestar shook her head. "We will have to hide before anything like that happens. Or seek Hollowclan or Boulderclan for help. Any further questions?" Four cats, whom Puddlestar recognised as senior warriors, to which had first noticed the foxtrails, stepped forwards. "We risk losing more cats if we do this, Puddlestar, alot of us are weak and cold due to the rain, what will happen if we lose our best warriors?" A bold female echoed Puddlestar's thoughts, but luckily she had the answer. "We wont." She promised. "I assure you, Lichenclan is stronger then ever and will thrive. We WILL find these kits and chase off these foxes!" Lichenclan still seemed nervous, but the mood had been lightened ever so slightly. Puddlestar leapt down from the highrock, summoned the four warriors, and exited camp.

Wrenflight rose from her sitting position by the HighRock and bounded over to the apprentice. "(LeName), are you okay?" She meowed, bending her neck to inspect the wounded novice. Assuring there were no life-threatening injuries, she allowed her collected nature to give way to fury. "Where did they ambush you at?" The mottled femora asked, her sharp green gaze smoldering with anger.

Waving her tail to gather the majority of the warriors, , she quickly rallied a patrol. "Lionfur, Owlmask, Beechstorm, and Poppyleap, go to them. Show them what LichenClan does to foxes." The deputy hissed. "Rabbitpaw, and Nettleheart, you go and find Crowstar. Let him know what's going on, and direct him to our fighting patrol," Wrenflight paused, and added grimly, "If BoulderClan are acting like snakes, they'll need the back up."

Wrenflight, claws unsheathed and ready, stood her ground, though she made no attempt at moving. "Silentstar," She began, speaking through clenched teeth. "What, in StarClan's name, would LichenClan want with fish? You know the fish in these waters are only sought after by your warriors. Waving her tail, she invited the HollowClan leader closer. "Does the hint of fish linger from our warriors as it does your own? Do we smell of mud, and water to you?" Dropping her voice, the deputy tried one last attempt to calm the rival leader down. "It's leaf-bare, Silentstar. Do you really think either Clan needs wounding right now? That your medicine cat has the spare herbs lying around to treat wounds from a battle which should never have been fought?" Her own thoughts flitted to Crowstar, who lie sick with greencough in camp. 'StarClan, please let this mouse-brain see sense in my words!'

Gritting her teeth, the new leader stepped onto the HighRock and swallowed her pride. "Cats of LichenClan, I know I am not Crowstar, but I ask you listen to me. These kits need us, need the Clan, and I can't do it without you. The more time we waste here questioning me, the greater the chance of three kits never coming home safely. Please, I beg of you, help me help you!" Wrenstar begged, searching the gazes of the cats for a little understanding. Finding little, she resisted the urge to yowl in frustration. Abandoning her formal approach, she yowled, "These kits are out there, somewhere, alone in this monsoon with foxes! We can do this later but for now, as your leader, I demand warriors be sent on a search party for them! Darkflight, Seedpelt, Rabbitfur, you take the border by BoulderClan, and stop at the clearing. Ashflower, Cloudspots, and MInkfur, you take HollowClan's border and stop at the heart of the forest! Swiftpaw, Oakpaw, and Beepaw, you're our oldest apprentices. I want you all to go together and search around the training area!" She called. Leaping down from the HighRock to bolt out into the forest, she hoped and prayed the search would not be in vain.

Crowstar isn't around, he's leading the patrol while you keep a watch over camp. What do you do to handle this problem? Do you wait for Crowstars return? Care for the apprentice? -As a strong hearted warrior, I would take action after making sure the apprentice is safe.
Talonstorm rushes to the apprentice’s side, jolting a look of worry into the forest, wondering if BoulderClan would come into the camp. “BoulderClan.. You will pay!” he hisses under his breath, his fur bristling with anger against the unfriendly clan. His attention strikes back towards the wounded apprentice, and he immediately begins to lick the young cat’s scratches on his cheek, both for comfort and healing purposes. “Do not worry, young apprentice. You did well by coming back to camp instead of staying to fight. You will be recognized for your actions in the future. I am very proud of you, and I’m sure Crowstar will be as well.” He whispers into the young cat’s ear. Continuously licking the apprentices face, he flicks his tail, looking towards the Medicine cat’s den. Leaning down, he puts his neck under the young cat’s small, flexible body and lifts him up. “No need to walk with three legs because of that hurt paw.” He pads over to the Medicine cats den very carefully and slowly, being sure not to drop the young cat as he goes. Talonstorm set the apprentice down softly in the Medicine cat’s den, meowing to the medicine cat to come assist the injured apprentice. Talonstorm bolts quickly out of camp, heading straight towards the scent of Crowstar to tell her what has happened to the poor apprentice.

-I, being a peace keeper, would attempt to calm the two clans as much as possible. If that fails, then to hell with Hollowclan! Chase them out!
Talonstorm’s fur bristle’s with anticipation. ‘Will we battle?’ he thinks to himself, nervously. ‘Or can I make this a peaceful matter?’ He sits slowly down onto his rump, trying not to make any sudden movements that could alert the Hollowclan warriors. (ooooh jeez I’m in such a writer’s block right now I’m so sorry!) “Silentstar, please, calm down. I know our clans have had their ups and downs, but can’t you see what you’re doing?” His eyes shifted confidently around the camp. Talonstorm was sure he could get out of this without causing a battle to break out. “Look at my cat’s, their terrified!” He flicked his tail sternly in the direction of the LichenClan kits. The kits were shaking, their tails shoved between their legs. Talonstorm stood tall beside his leader, Crowstar, and locked eyes with the HollowClan leader. “Silentstar, we have not been stealing from your territory, I swear it to StarClan! Can’t you see how obvious it is that we’re not at fault here?” He pointed his nose towards the fresh kill pile, which was full of mostly hawks, voles, mice, and rats. There were no fish to be seen in the plentiful pile. ‘My reasoning skills are definitely helping me in this dispute.. Besides, LichenClan would never dare eat a fish from a scummy HollowClan river!’ he thought to himself with an inside giggle. Silentstar seemed to go along with Talonstorm’s reasoning, and he let up, along with his clan. The dispute was over between them. For now..

-Oh shit this one is intense.
Talonstar slashed his tail around intensely, looking down at his nervous clan from the high rock. “Warriors and all cats of LichenClan..” he began, quickly swallowing with slight uncertainty. “I know most of you here do not agree with the deceased Crowstar that I am well capable of the same leading skills as her, but please, hear me out. We, as a clan, are in trouble.” He looked up to the great StarClan, praying for assistance in what he’s about to do. “Three kits are gone, and there are foxes about. We MUST find these kits before it’s too late. Herppaw, Wiltingwood, Stormfeather, Derppaw, and Merppaw (heheh). You five are to catch the scent of the foxes and keep them away from the camp and kits at all cost. You may kill the foxes if capable, while Poisenfoot, Smalltail, Pottedleaf and I search out the territory for the three lost kits. Poisenfoot, Smalltail, Pottedleaf,” his eyes flicked to their direction. “we will all split up to find these kits as fast as possible. If you find one, immediately bring them back to camp as quickly as you can to their mother. She needs to comfort them and keep them warm as soon as she can before they get too cold and pass to StarClan. It is not their time to leave us, LichenClan, just yet.” He took in deep, slow breaths to keep himself calm. Talonstar’s clan seemed reassured in his abilities as leader. Talonstar started to smile with prideful feelings. He looked to his deputy, “You will stay here and make sure the foxes don’t get into the camp. We cannot afford any more trouble than we already have.” Talonstar hopped down, and raised his tail high, letting his clan know it was time to go save three young lives.

"Okay, sweety, calm down," the spotted she-cat cooed lightly and sat close to the apprentice. Moonflower lifted her head and called the medicine cat over. Before Pigeonwatcher was able to reach them, she observed the scratches. They were definitely cat scratches...but was it actually BoulderClan? Or maybe a loner? Her thoughts were interrupted as the meddy arrived and began tending to the apprentice's wounds. Moonflower nudged the apprentice lightly and smiled. "See? Pigeonwatcher is here, you'll be fine honey," she assured the young apprentice and smiled lightly.
After a few moments and after stepping way to sit out of the way, Moonflower spoke. "What happened exactly, Shiverpaw?" she inquired and tilted her head slightly to the side.
Shiverpaw spoke, his lisp worse than usual with his voice quivering. "A b-bouwldahcwan cat adtacked me! I w-was ad da border and a cat jumped owt ad me 'nd adtacked me!" he said, seeming to have a stuffy nose.
Moonflower nodded. "I see. Did you get a scent off of them?" she further questioned, since she didn't smell anything off of the apprentice that linked anything to anyone.
Shiverpaw shook his head hastily. "No, I was nodt paying adtention," he answered, looking down at the medicine cat wrapping his paw.
The deputy sighed and stood. She thought to herself it wasn't her place to start a war between Clans. What if it wasn't a BoulderClan cat who attacked the apprentice? She did think, however, it was her place to be diplomatic and speak with the BoulderClan leader...but what if it WAS BoulderClan cats? Then she's putting herself in danger. Moonflower sighed heavily as she walked about. There was no one else she'd rather do it, if it came to that. She stopped and looked to the darkening sky. Crowstar would return soon, and it wasn't her place to go marching off into other Clan's territories without leader permission.
Just as she thought this, Crowstar entered the camp with a few warriors. Moonflower steps hastily over to her leader and explained the situation calmly. Crowstar nodded and conversed with the she-cat in a hushed tone.
It was decided that Moonflwoer would go with two warriors to the BoulderClan camp and ask without hostility what had happened.


2. A great raid is happening, HollowClan is invading LichenClan because they believe they've been prey stealing. Fur is bristling, backs are arched and claws are unsheathed. HollowClan could leap at any moment, and they refuse to leave. What do you do? Do you suggest chasing them out? Or do you try to calm down the two clans?

Moonflower's mind was racing, a million thoughts running through her head. She closed her eyes for a brief moment, the world around her fading to black as she breathes in and out, hearing the hissing sound in her lungs. As she opens her eyes, the world speeds up again to its normal rate and she raises her voice as she rakes a step forward. "Clan cats, please!" she projects her voice, it ringing across the hallow. They all look to her and she raises her head. "Please, we can talk about this. There is no need for brash violence," she would say softer now that the Clan cats weren't hissing and yowling. She felt the harsh eyes of HollowClan on her, burning into her skin.
"Tell that to the starving kits!" an unseen HollowClan warrior yowls and the air is knocked out of her frame. She hisses and feels a heavy, living weight on top of her. She scrambles her paws and manages to kick the warrior off of her, and scrambles away.
Suddenly, the air is filled with yowls and screams of cats. HollowClan has attacked, but very foolishly, for they were outnumbered. For this reason, it seemed as if the battle lasted for five seconds before HollowClan fled.
Moonflower, panting, looked to Crowstar to see that his throat had been slashed. The deputy rushes over and yowls for Pigeonwatcher. "PIGEONWATCHER!" she yowls and the medicine cat looks over from tending from a lesser-wounded warrior and rushes over. She dashes to her den and grabs some cobwebs, pressing them into the wounds.
Crowstar's nose seemed pale, devoid of blood, and there was a steadily growing puddle around them. Moonflower looks down to her paws to see them in a puddle of blood. She lifts one paw, stunned, and looks to her leader. She turns to her Clan. "Keep the kits in the nursery, and we need cobwebs. I need a patrol to go out and check for more HollowClan cats, and a few patrols to go out and get cobwebs..." the Clan looked to her, stunned. "Now!" she ordered and they moved. And so, this leads into the next question...


3. Crowstar has passed away a moon or so ago, the clan is iffy on you leading. The territory poors with rain, 3 kits are missing and two foxes are seen wondering the territory. Your clan looks up to you, wondering how to handle the situation. Do you send a small party out to find the kits with the risk of hurting more members? Do you go yourself, or stay in camp to ensure safety?

It's not about me.
Moonstar thought as she looked up at the raining sky. A drop of rain landed near her eye and she lowered her head.
But I do need to do something about it.
Moonstar thought as she padded up to the highrock, calling the Clan to gather. "I understand that this is a harrowing situation. The missing kits plague my mind and worry me. So, I will be going out with two cats myself to look for them in the South, and [respected warrior] will be doing the same in the North. [deputy] will stay in camp to ensure our safety," she paused and looked at her Clan sternly."These kits will be found," she would say strongly and leap down the highrock.
Moonstar gathered her cats and conversed with [respected warrior] and the deputy quickly. She exited the camp soon after with two warriors through the pouring rain. She trudged through the muddy patches, enjoying the pinestraw and leaves just a little more than the mud. She was soaked and her fur felt heavy on her skin. Nothing but the sound of rain pummeled her ears. Then, she caught a wiff of something. Wet cat with a slight scent of milk.
"Kittens!" she called, seeming to take her warriors by surprise. She stood, suspended in silence for a moment, listening.
Mew!
She heard them! "The kits, they're around here, look!" she ordered and ran towards the sound. She found the two kits cowering and shivering under a bush. "Over here!" she cried and counted them. Two.
"Kittens, where is Whitekit?" she asked and they just shook their heads, crying. Moonstar closed her eyes and looked down, then picked up one of the kits as one of the warriors came over and picked up the other.
Their return to the camp was well-received, but Moonstar wasn't happy. She placed the kits down in the medicine cat's den and they were treated. Their mother rushed in and cried out.
"Blackkit, Greykit, White-" her eyes widened. "Where's Whitekit?!" the queen wailed.
Moonstar sat close to the queen and spoke softly. "We haven't found her yet, but we will, I promise." She nodded and wrapped her tail around the crying queen.
A day passed, and they found Whitekit, dead, her paw trapped between two rocks.
 Moonstar cried that night, but silently and in her own den, where the Clan couldn't see her. She had to stay strong. The following morning she called the Clan to a gathering.
"My friends and family...as I'm sure you all know, Whitekit has passed on to StarClan. There was nothing we could do," she said solemnly. "I...I am so sorry. I would have traded all nine of my lives for hers. She was too young," Moonstar lowered her head, then looked to her Clan. "That is all."
Over the next few days, she spoke personally to the members of the Clan, to reassure them. The day after, the rain finally stopped and they burried Whitekit near the stream.

1. An apprentice returns from their assessment with a wounded paw, tears streaming down their cheeks. "BoulderClan ambushed me!" The apprentice cries, their paw mangled and cheek scratched at. Crowstar isn't around, he's leading the patrol while you keep a watch over camp. What do you do to handle this problem? Do you wait for Crowstars return? Care for the apprentice? Or immediately take action?


    "Boulderclan?" The practically non-existent Boulderclan that hasn't shown up in moons? Why would they suddenly go through the trouble of attacking their own? "Alright runt, give me a sec." The deputy turned to one of the felines that had predictably come to check out the scene. There was already a small gathering around the wailing kit and for once, their mob mentality came in handy. "Hey! One of you get Pigeonwatcher, quick."  After that was said, the tall tan feline brought her attention back to the sobbing apprentice. Lime green eyes narrowed a fraction. Was this kid ever going to stop crying? "Hey. Hey... Hey!" Figures that she would have to raise her voice to stop it from crying. "Com'mon. You're a goin' to become a warrior right?" A small bob of the head and sniffle met her question. "Then come on, stop crying. A warrior like you can take alot more pain then that, can't ya?" The apprentice wore an apprehensive expression as her words sunk in. She could see that it was obviously still distraught with it's condition but at least the tears had stopped. Now she didn't have to find answers through pain-driven hysteria. "Good. Now tell me everything that happened including where your mentor is." Assessment or not, an apprentice usually never went out alone. There should have been a warrior scampering back to camp to make sure his/her apprentice is alright, yet not a soul have popped up yet. Did something go wrong?  Sandferret wasn't going to throw out the possibility that Boulderclan had attacked one of their own. They were probably trying to make a statement, albeit the dumbest way possible, and probably were in league with Hollowclan. It was a large assumption that she wasn't willing to delve on yet. Anyway, did this apprentice even know the appearance and scent of such an elusive clan? 

    Pulling on a brave face, the apprentice finally began to explain the situation from start to finish. It was normal enough. Young Pepperpaw had left with their mentor Smokeflare to start her long awaited assessment. About a few minutes within her test, she had caught the sound of something strange and went to investigate. However, the moment she went to see who it was, the apprentice had found herself tangled in a struggle and bounded away before she could get a good glimpse of what it was. It was a sudden attack that didn't involve more than one cat. If Boulderclan truly did wish to cause some harm, why would they let her get away with just a wounded paw? Hell, that still didn't explain where her mentor was. "Right... So you aren't positive that it's Boulderclan, right?" Another bout of hesitation took place before the apprentice nodded her head. "Right. You can go to Pigeonwatcher, runt. He's waitin' for ya. I'll get to the bottom of this." Sandferret watched Pepperpaw limp away before padding over to some of the other warriors. Every cat held the same level of uncertainty. No one really believed that Boulderclan was the culprit, huh? The job was far too sloppy and with Crowstar out on a patrol, a warning would have been sent their way. However... "Ambermask." Said she-cat's head rose to Sandferret's call. "Grab two warriors and check on Crowstar's patrol. If you spot anything suspicious along the way, I want to hear about it. Immediately." Now she had to figure out where Smokeflare was. The apprentice couldn't recall her exact location, figures. All she could recall was a few bushe and the shadowly figure of her assailant. There wasn't much to go by. "Weaselnose." She really did enjoy the clan's mob mentality to a situation. Finding the ones she needed became so much easier. "You're good at tracking right? You've also spoken out with Smokeflare a few times. You know his scent right? Find the idiot and bring him back to me. If you sense trouble, investigate it as safely as you can. Don't do anything stupid."

     Weaselnose was gone the moment she finished. With those two orders down, she slowly began to gather warriors and ordered a tighter security around camp. Until Crowstar returned, she couldn't trust what was out there. For now, she would have to trust that the warriors she assigned would do their jobs well and that whatever attacked Pepperpaw was only a bush.

    Sandferret was probably the worst feline to deal with any relations including Hollowclan. No amount of training could possibly give her enough patience to deal with their nonsense. A dark part of her wanted to start a war while they were on their home ground. They had the advantage over them here so Lichenclan would probably win with less causalities. The urge to start a battle danced on the very tip of her tongue as she glanced between both sides. Both sides had warriors on the edge of leaping. It would only take the smallest movement to cause an immediate uproar and a possible war. But what good would that do for their treaty? Even if Hollowclan was the one that couldn't keep their nasty little paws off their land. Sandferret hadn't attempted to unsheathe her claws as she brought herself further to the front of the crowd. Their ill reaction was practically immediate but she made no move to back down. If Crowstar's sense wasn't going to get through their thick skulls, harsh 'love' probably will. "What makes you think that Lichenclan would want any of your rancid food? Has the stench of fish invaded your nostrils so much that you can't decipher where it is coming from?" In her defense, she didn't insult them outright. She was simply stating a point. "Not a soul has entered your camp. Why would we give Hollowclan any reason to invade our borders anymore than they do now?" Sandferret doubted she was getting through to them. A peacemaker, she was not and she could see the growing hostility that met each syllable. Dear Starclan, they didn't understand how ready she was for a fight. Too bad that Crowstar's voice of reason would probably counteract the venom in her words anyway. "Hollowclan has done nothing but spit accusations without any liable proof. So I dare you, start a fight now while Starclan is watching. Seriously. Do it. Will the 'honorable' Hollowclan really be able to walk away and say they did the right thing under eyes of our ancestors?" There was some muttering but she wasn't sure if it was positive or not. Both clans didn't seem calm in the least and she still wasn't effected by it. Sandferret simply waited with a curious glance between both leaders to see what they would say. She couldn't blame Crowstar if he was apprehensive about her speaking. Hell, she was pretty sure it would have caused a fight to break out immediately. "Well?"

    She didn't blame their apprehension. Sandstar wasn't entirely sure of her leading capabilities as well. As Crowstar's deputy, she grew in ways that she could never imagine. She learned that she was capable of rational thought and that her clan mates were intelligent and powerful cats that she could rely on. When Crowstar was alive, she at least knew she could fall back on him if she did something stupid. The bitter tom was never one to bite back his words and she depended on that to grow. Sandstar had unconsciously made him her safety net. Had she grown enough to take on his duties as Lichenclan's leader?  Would Lichenclan be willing to listen to the deputy that they knew had a fiery cracker personality? Starclan had a funny way of putting felines to the test immediately and for a few minutes, Sandstar was completely dumbfounded by how things escalated so quickly. Three kits have gone missing and not a soul knows why. Simply running out and searching for them felt like the most heroic answer but the consequences that follow that was too great. They couldn't simply leave while there were foxes lurking about the area but they couldn't abandon the missing kits as well. Something needed to happen and she had to trust her instincts. She needed to. "Sandstar?" The voice of a clanmate roused her from her thoughts. Right, she had perched on the high rock to call a meeting without a clue on what to say. Acting before thinking. That was what Sandstar was known for and now, she found herself facing the consequences of that action. She didn't know what to say to them once all of them had arrived. Their unease didn't stop questions from nearly overwhelming her and that probably may have been the reason why she had shutdown into her own thoughts. She couldn't let that happen again.  "Starclan gave me nine lives for a reason, right?" The soft mutter of motivation had the cream Abyssinian standing tall once more. Lime green eyes, glowing with determination, glared down at the felines that questioned her rise to authority. Tail lashing behind her, she mused, "We're going to find those kits. Don't you worry." Yowls of agreement and protest rang in the air during her statement. Even if they weren't confident about her leading, Lichenclan was full of brave cats. She simply needed to place the rights cats in the right situation. "Believe it or not, we have enough able warriors to find the kits and protect ourselves from the foxes." They simply needed to meet this opposition without brute force. Inguinity was the main factor and she had that down pat. "Mintbreath, Fawnspots, Honeysong." Three she-cats of the pro-search option made their way to the front of the crowd. "Your group will search for the missing kits. Try your best to remain undetected. Starclan knows those runts don't need anymore excitement today." The group that left consisted of the smallest and harder to catch felines within the clan.

With the foxes as close as they were, she wanted a group that were more likely to flee and escape than facing them head on. She was fairly certain at least two of them were amazing climbers and as far as she's know, Foxes aren't the sort to climb trees. The three she-cats disappeared within the crowd and towards the hills beyond. She trusted the three to find the kits despite the pouring rain. It was a difficult task but she couldn't bring herself to search as well. There were queens, kits and inexperienced apprentices in camp that needed guidance and protection. She was still yet to appoint a deputy, for the shock of her rise in power still hadn't wavered yet, so she was going to have to do this on her own for now. "For the rest of you..." With three of their cats out to search, that left about sixteen warriors (about four of those sixteen suffering from some sort of injury), six apprentices, three queens, five elders, a medicine cat, the medicine cat's apprentice and seven kits within camp. Somehow, Lichan clan was going to have to find a way to protect camp with the Queens, kits and inexperienced apprentices within the center of the barrier. Such a difficult task would have shaken another feline but Sandstar approached with a knowing smirk on her face. They could do this. Her plan was a fairly simple one. The felines unable to fight would remain within two dens within the camp with two warriors stationed between both. The other warriors would take positions to surround the outside of camp at set positions. At least then, if there is movement spotted at any direction, a cat will know and call it to the attention of everyone else. Two other felines were chosen from the bunch to venture out a little further from the rest. They were swift felines with equal talent in hearing and spotting movement. Their expertise would be needed to hopefully give them an early warning to the foxes whereabouts and give Sandstar enough time to think of the next best course of action. Dealing with one fox is difficult and dealing with two is even harder. Sandstar would have to trust her clan's abilities and her own if they were going to make it out of this.
